General Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a skilledMaintenance Workerto perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and maintenance.
Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as HVAC, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, generation and mechanics.
You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are functional.
May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
Experience using hand and electrical tools, the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
Will perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. (Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures to include MSDS sheets.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
Move furniture and equipment upon instruction.
Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet; performs custodial duties as required.
May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.

Two year experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver's License.

Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck and other related motorized equipment.Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.
