Job Description

  • We are looking for a skilledMaintenance Workerto perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and maintenance.

  • Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as HVAC, carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, generation and mechanics.

  • You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are functional.

  • May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.

  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.

  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.

  • Experience using hand and electrical tools, the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Will perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. (Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)

  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.

  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures to include MSDS sheets.

  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.

  • May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.

  • Move furniture and equipment upon instruction.

  • Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet; performs custodial duties as required.

  • May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment for the patrons of the facility and to eliminate all hazards.

  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)

  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.

Required Experience


  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  • The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Two year experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades.


  • Valid Driver's License.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

  • Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck and other related motorized equipment.Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.

  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status.

  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a Security Clearance.
